DevThread.
Workflows

Initialize

Create missing repository state without replacing existing files.

When to use it

Start a new map in a new or existing repository.

Prompt example

Use DevThread to initialize this repository. Inspect existing instructions and show any existing map first.

These workflows use natural language; slash commands are not assumed.

Reads and writes

Reads: Repository structure, project instructions, existing .devthread/, and the versioned templates.

Writes: Missing .devthread/ files and directories only. Existing content is preserved.

Expected result

A list of created and retained files, plus any validation problem that prevented initialization.

Boundary

Initialization requires an existing directory. It stops on malformed existing state or unsupported links rather than repairing or replacing them.

Continue with understand. See the format reference for the files and metadata.
