DevThread.
Workflows

Understand

Inspect the repository and separate observed facts from inferences.

When to use it

Join a project, start a fresh session, or establish context before planning.

Prompt example

Use DevThread to understand this project. Summarize its purpose, structure, constraints, current state, and uncertainties.

These workflows use natural language; slash commands are not assumed.

Reads and writes

Reads: Relevant source, manifests, docs, Git state, project instructions, and saved map context.

Writes: Project context in .devthread/ when requested. Application code is unchanged.

Expected result

Observed technologies and behavior, labeled inferences, evidence gaps, and a proposed next useful action.

Boundary

Read the smallest relevant set of files. A manifest or filename does not establish working behavior.

Continue with map. See the format reference for the files and metadata.
